Le Lion

Anzere, Switzerland.
In the heart of the Swiss Alps, Le Lion is a comfortable, modern apartment in a beautiful village with plenty to offer all year round
About the Location

Anzere is in the heart of the French-speaking Swiss Alps. A fully-equipped fast-growing resort, the village has a lot to offer. The apartment is a very short car-journey (also within walking-distance) from the tele-cabine to take you up the mountain to the skiing, and there is a run that brings you practically to the doorstep.

The nearest city is Sion, in the Rhone Valley below. In Sion you will find a train station, hospital, various large supermarkets as well as interesting historical architecture. There are many interesting towns and villages nearby, such as the picturesque Evolene, the fascintation Seiont, and the famous Martigny.

Anzere is a beautiful and perfect spot in which to spend your holidays at any time of the year, whether for the snow in winter, the flowers in spring or the sun in summer.

About the Apartment

Travel and Transport

Please below a map of the location of Anzere and information on getting there. We're more than happy to give you help and advice with your travel choices.

By air: The closest airport is Geneva, which has rail links and car hire companies. If flying we would strongly recommend hiring a car as, although there are trains and buses, a car would provide freedom and ease for getting around the Alps.

By car: The Masons always drive from Britain to Anzere, taking a ferry or the tunnel to cross the channel. From Calais, the journey time is a total of around ten hours' drive. We usually stop off in the picturesque town of Langres in France for lunch on the way.

By rail: Sion is the closest place with rail links to Anzere; it sits in the vallet directly at the foot of the mountain. Rail prices in Switzerland can be pricey, but the service is excellent. From Sion you can hire a car or take a bus up to the village.
